More Frequently Asked Questions

Why are all the windows empty under Events?

There are two ways to have Maestro display events on the Home Screen.

The first is during installation.  You will be asked which events you would like to have displayed on the Home Screen.

Secondly, you may add events at any time by selecting the "Event Options" button when creating or editing an event.  Then simply select "Show on Home Screen" and save your settings.

How do I change what is displayed in the center of the Home Screen?.

By default you can choose between a calendar or picture display for the center screen.  Certain modules when activated will add additional options for the center screen.  To change what is displayed press the change display button pictured below and select your display choice.

What are the buttons that have black text and don't do anything?

Depending on your version of Maestro you may have inactive or unregistered modules installed.  Buttons for these modules will be displayed with black text.

Maestro isn't showing any devices, rooms, or events.

Maestro may not be able to access HomeSeer.  The easiest way to tell if you are connected is by looking at the Sunset time in the time bar.  If there is no time listed, you are not connected.  You should check that HomeSeer is running and responding.

I made a mistake when answering Maestro's questions about Home Screen events during install.

You can re-run the Maestro configuration tool at anytime by going to the following site on your HomeSeer machine:

                http://localhost/homeface/installer/index.html

Where are the rest of my events?

Maestro will show the events you selected on the Home Screen, 4 at a time.  Use the arrows at the bottom of the events windows to display the rest of your events.

To view events that were not selected for the Home Screen, enter the Events screen either by using the menu buttons on the left, or using the Quick Launch button on the bottom left.
